Summertime in Chicago
***Blogging while waiting for Game of Thrones to come on***
Well - It happened. We packed up all our belongings, said our goodbyes and our little family headed North. Our last Austin meal was Rudy's BBQ and Coronaritas (my favorite!).
We got all settled in Google temporary housing and started looking for our next home right away. After a couple of frustrating, stressful weeks we found a cute condo we loved that is perfectly in-between my work and Kyle's work. We are currently under contract and if everything goes smoothly, scheduled to close August 11th. So until then, we are taking full advantage of the perfectly located temp apartment in River North: Walking distance to Lake Michigan, the Chicago River and so many good restaurants and bars to explore.
Another big reason we are so excited to be in Chicago is how easily we can see our niece, Josephine. She is just a doll and we can't wait to be more involved in her life. My brother lives outside Indianapolis and we can make a quick day trip to see them whenever they will have us. :)
We have an extremely eventful August coming up - Can't wait for all the visitors, trips and excitement. Tomorrow I start my new job - YAY! Hope everyone is having a great summer!
